Shikhar Dhawan hits the pitch after a long Coronavirus Enforced Break!


Shikhar Dhawan on Friday returned back to field after a long Coronavirus Enforced break. The left handed batsman took to twitter to share a video from his training session which is not less than a treat for his fans.

The left handed batsman was in a good form as the ball directly hit the sweet spot of his bat and made a pleasing sound. Dhawan captioned the video as, “Keeping the intensity going. Love the sound of the bat on ball”. Dhawan was hitting the ball perfectly on both the sides of the ground which seems that he is getting ready to face such intense bowling in the upcoming edition of the IPL which is scheduled to start from 19th September in the UAE.

Dhawan has made the lockdown time quite entertaining for his fans by regularly sharing his photos & videos on social media platforms. On Thursday Dhawan shared a lovely picture with his son Zoravar on Instagram in which Shikhar was trying to wakeup Zoravar & get him out of his bed. The father-son duo were smiling in that picture depicting their sweet bond.

On Cricket front Shikhar Dhawan is absent from the pitch since India’s home series against Australia. He was also not included into the India’s tour of New Zealand after he suffered a rib injury in the second ODI against Australia in January this year. Shikhar Dhawan will play for the Delhi Capitals in the upcoming edition of the IPL. He has been a part of Delhi Capitals franchise since 2018.

In 2019 IPL, Shikhar Dhawan was featured in 16 matches for the Delhi Capitals & has scored 521 runs with an average of 34.73 & a strike rate of 135.67. Dhawan has played 159 matches in his IPL career so far & scored 4,579 runs.
