Delhi Capitals captain Shreyas Iyer has been fined 12 lakhs for maintaining a slow over-rate against SRH in yesterday’s match of the IPL 2020.
Iyer has been fined 12 lakhs as this DC’s first offence of maintain a slow over-rate in the IPL 2020. The IPL Official statement read as, “As it was his team’s first offence of the season under the IPL’s Code of Conduct relating to minimum over-rate offences, Iyer was fined Rs 12 lakh”.
Earlier RCB captain Virat Kohli was also fined for maintaining a slow over-rate against KXIP. He was fined a whopping 15 lakh. The match between DC & SRH was played on the grounds of Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday. David Warner led SRH defeated Delhi Capitals by 15 runs as they defended an average total of 162 runs.
Delhi Capitals were chasing the target of 162 runs but were restricted to mere 147 runs as Rashid Khan returned with the figures of 3-14 from his allotted four overs. SRH will next face CSK on October 2 while Delhi Capitals will face KKR on October 3rd.
