Speaking about the signing with English County Club Shreyas said, “Lancashire is a legendary name in English cricket with a long association with Indian Cricket team. I am extremely honoured to carry the legacy of greats like Farokh Engineer, Sourav Ganguly, and VVS Laxman at Lancashire. Old Trafford is a world-class International stadium & I am looking forward to meeting my teammates & the supporters of the club”.

Shreyas has also excelled in the IPL & captained Delhi capitals in the finals of the IPL 2020 where he scored 519 runs at a strike rate of 123, the fourth-highest score in the tournament. He became a Lancashire Legend & now serves as a Vice-President of the County Club. Since Engineer retired four other Indian Cricketers such as Murali Kartik, Dinesh Mongia, VVS Laxman, and Sourav Ganguly — have represented Lancashire.
