SRH hailed a stupendous 10 wickets victory against MI to finish on third spot on the IPL 2020 Points Table & qualifies for the playoffs.
SRH’s win means that KKR who were currently on the fourth spot before the game went down on fifth spot & are thereby knocked out of the IPL 2020. MI finish on top of the table with DC securing a second stop on the Points Table. RCB is the next team which made to the knockout matches. MI & DC will face each other on Thursday in the first qualifier while SRH & RCB will face each other in the eliminator on Friday. The winner of the eliminator will play with the loser of the first qualifier match in the second qualifier.
The group stage of the IPL ends with KL Rahul leading the race for orange cap with 670 runs. But David Warner hit an unbeaten 85 runs to move up to the second spot in the run scorers chart. Shikhar Dhawan is third at the chart while RCB duo of Devdutt Padikkal & Kohli is at fourth & fifth spot. Rabada leads the wicket takers list at the end of the group stage with 25 wickets in his account while Bumrah was rested against SRH & so couldn’t move ahead the tally of 23 runs.
Chahal & Boult are running behind of Rabada in the race of Purple Cap with 20 wickets each while Rashid Khan and Anrich Nortje, who have 19 scalps each, also stand a chance of taking home the Purple Cap by adding to their tallies in the knockouts.
