David Warner acts like a mentor for SRH batting order crushing the opposition’s bowling to create a path for SRH to keep winning the game. Though this hasn’t been the case in the IPL 2020 where the Australian batsman has been up & down definitely by his own set standards.
So today when he will meet Mohammed Shami of KXIP in their league face-off, Warner would look forward to dominate it. Shami will definitely have some power-pack spin attack ready with him after their side received a hammering from CSK. Going wicket less in one match is a different thing but to get defeated by 10 wickets in any game is something which doesn’t go well with any bowler. Shami must be seeking some sort of return to confidence & success against SRH.
He has claimed eight wickets form five matches in the IPL 2020 so far but would like to work on his economy rate of 8.19. But that is still better than his IPL economy of 8.91, coming from 56 matches where he has claimed 48 wickets. Warner has been facing ups & downs throughout the IPL season. In this IPL season he has 175 runs scalped from five matches at a strike rate of 123.23 a far low from his career figures of 141.60 from his 131 matches & 4881 runs.
So after looking on their progress chart we can say that both the players are in a position where with today’s game they can change their statistics & can take their respective teams back to winning terms.
