Right from celebrities to cricketers and athletes, everyone is appealing to people to stay at home and stay safe, Suresh Raina also took to his social media account and has urged to the people of the country to stay indoors and combat the Coronavirus Pandemic.
India’s batsman, Suresh Raina who had a recently welcome second child at home has participated #StayHome4 campaign on Wednesday. Raina on Wednesday took to his twitter account and posted his picture holding a poster that read, “I love my family. Do you? I am staying at home and not going out to protect my family. Are you?” With this message, Raina appealed to the nation to observe a strict lockdown to avoid the spread of coronavirus.
On Tuesday Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a 21 days lock-down to stop the spread of COVID-19 by issuing an order that if anyone ignores the order then they will face two years of imprisonment and a fine.
Raina was training for IPL 2020 with his Chennai Super Kings team in Chennai with his teammates Ms. Dhoni, Ambati Rayudu, Piyush Chawla among other players in the first week of March before the training session was called off due to COVID-19 pandemic.
Indian Premier League 2020 along with other major sporting events has been postponed also the Tokyo Olympics has been delayed till next year.
Now, the IPL 2020 has been postponed from March 29th to April 15th as a preventive measure to combat coronavirus, said BCCI.
Currently, India is under lock-down and there are complete chances of IPL getting postponed or canceled this year.
