Suresh Raina who went back to India due to certain personal reasons said that one should not think that he will not return to the CSK squad.
Raina in a chat with media said that he came back to India due to certain personal reasons & also said that there is nothing wrong between him & the franchise. “It was a personal decision and I had to come back for my family. There was something that needed to be addressed immediately on the home front. CSK is my family too and Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni) is very important to me and this was a tough decision. There is no issue between CSK and me,” Raina said.
Suresh Raina said that he is still training even when he was quarantining in India & mentioned that fans will get a chance to see him again with the CSK squad in few days. “I’ve been training even while quarantining here. You never know you might see me in the camp there again,” the batsman said.
Raina also cleared the controversy prevailing about rift between him & CSK CEO N Srinivasan by saying that Srinivasan is a father figure to him & he can scold him. The CSK batsman also said that Srinivasan had said all those words because he didn’t knew the real reason of him leaving the team ahead of the IPL 2020. Raina has also said that he will like to play for the CSK squad for more four to five years.
