Suresh Raina is in headlines since the last few days for exiting IPL 2020 & returning home due to personal reasons & since then rumors of rift between Raina & CSK’s CEO N Srinivasan were also taking its roots. However Raina has put an end to all the controversies by stating that a father has a right to scold his son!
Recently Raina being asked about the remarks of CSK CEO N Srinivasan regarding his sudden departure from IPL 2020 Raina quoted as saying, “He is like a father figure to me and he’s always stood by me and is close to my heart. He treats me like his younger son and I am sure a lot of what he said was taken out of context.”
“Ek baap apne bacche ko daant sakta hai(A father can scold his son). He didn’t know the real reasons for me leaving when he gave those comments,” Raina further revealed.
He further cleared the clouds on the rift between both of them stating that they had a discussion about it & both the franchise & the player just want to put all the controversies on rest. Further talking about the reason for his sudden exit from the IPL series Raina said, “It was a personal decision and I had to come back for my family. There was something that needed to be addressed immediately on the home front”.
CSK will hit the ground against Mumbai Indians on 19th of September in an opening match of the 13th edition of the IPL in the UAE.
