The Indian Cricket team has started their practice sessions in Australia on Saturday after clearing their coronavirus tests ahead of their three month long tour down under. The BCCI on Sunday shared a video of pacer T Natarajan bowling in the nets for the first time with Indian teammates.
This is T Natarajan’s first golden opportunity to bowl on field for the National Team. “We have seen him bowl with a lot of success in the @IPL and here is @Natarajan_91 bowling in the #TeamIndia nets for the first time after his maiden India call-up! A dream come true moment,” BCCI wrote in its tweet along with the video.
T Natarajan had shown an astounding performance during the IPL 2020 being a key player for SunRisers Hyderabad during the knockout stages. T Natarajan popularly known as ‘Yorker Specialist’ picked up 16 wickets in 16 matches for SRH who were knocked out in Qualifier 1 by Delhi Capitals. His impressive bowling strategy resulted in replacing of Varun Chakravarthy in India’s T20 squad against Australia. Chakravarthy who also got his maiden opportunity to play with team India was left out of the squad after facing an injury.
India will start their tour of Australia with a three match ODI series starting from November 27th followed by a three-match T20 International series & finally the tour will conclude with a four match Test series.
