T Natarajan receives first dose of COVID-19 vaccine

India’s pace sensation T Natarajan received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday. The pacer thanked all the health care workers who have put their lives at risk amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“I am so grateful to get my #vaccine this morning. A million thanks to our health care workers who have put their lives at risk for the well-being of our people”, T Natarajan tweeted. Natarajan was ruled out of the IPL 2021 after suffering from a knee injury before IPL 2021 got suspended due to a rise in COVID-19 cases within the bio-bubble. Natarajan has undergone knee surgery in the month of April & is now recovering well.

After the surgery, Natarajan thanked BCCI & Medical workers for taking his immense care & he also said that he is looking forward to coming back stronger & fitter. The BCCI also wishes him a speedy recovery & said that team India wants to see him come back as soon as possible. His IPL franchise SRH has also wished him a speedy recovery.

Natarajan didn’t play in the third & fourth match of SRH & just played the first two matches of the SRH in the IPL 2021. He managed to scalp just two wickets in his two-match stint of the IPL 2021.

Meanwhile, team India is all set to tour the UK to play in the final of WTC against New Zealand followed by a five-match test series against England. The BCCI had announced a 24 player squad for the UK tour along with four standby players. Also, another batch of the Indian team will travel to Sri Lanka for a limited-overs series. India’s tour of Sri Lanka will provide an opportunity to the young Indian players to showcase their skills ahead of the T20 World Cup which will commence later this year.
