Fast bowler T Natarajan who has travelled to Australia as a Net bowler has made his debut in all three formats of Cricket becomes the first Indian player to reach the milestone on the same tour.
Natarajan feels that the last few months were a surreal experience for him as he has achieved his biggest dream of representing India in Test Cricket. Natarajan on Sunday took to twitter to share a picture of him visiting a temple & thanking God for turning his dream come true. “Feeling blessed,” he captioned the picture.
After India lost the ODI series against Australia facing defeat in the first two matches Natarajan was handed a golden opportunity of his International debut in the third ODI against Australia & the pacer made the most of it by scalping 2 wickets in 10 overs.
After a spectacular performance in the 3rd ODI Natarajan was handed his T20I debut & emerged as one of the star performers for team India in three match T20I series by scalping six wickets at an impressive economy of less than seven runs an over. After making a marking in limited overs series, Natarajan didn’t had to wait too long to get chance to play in the longest format of cricket as he got the opportunity of Test debut when injures ruled several in-form frontline bowlers out of the series decider Test match in Brisbane.
This time also Natarajan didn’t let team India management down by bowling brilliantly & scaling three wickets for 78 runs in the first innings. He went wicket less in the second innings but managed to keep restrict hosts batsmen to score less.
Natarajan is not a part of the India’s test squad for the first two test matches against England as the senior bowlers like Ishant Sharma and Jasprit Bumrah has returned after recovering from injuries.
