With Fans & Players praising Ahmedabad’s Motera Stadium, the BCCI took to social media to share a “surreal” aerial view of team India’s net session at the venue.
Starting from third tets match between England & India from February 24, the stadium will host seven International matches on the row. With a seating capacity of 1, 10,000 the stadium is the World’s Largest Cricket Ground. By taking to twitter, the BCCI captioned the video as, “How good is that view for a nets session #INDvENG #TeamIndia @Paytm”.
With fans excited to see the Indian team play at the huge venue the spectacular aerial view of the stadium took their excitement to another level. Earlier England’s former captain Kevin Pietersen & Rishabh Pant praised the stadium on their respective social media accounts. Hailing the massive stadium with huge seating capacity, Pietersen tweeted, “My goodness! How spectacular does this stadium look for the next Test match in Ahmedabad?! 110K capacity. A Theatre Of Dreams!”
Meanwhile Pant praised the stadium’s facilities. Taking to twitter he wrote, “Fantastic to be at the new facility in Motera, great to see such world class facilities for cricket in Ahmedabad. Looking forward to taking the field here on 24th. @BCCI @JayShah”.
India are currently facing England in a four match Test series which is currently levelled at 1-1. England had won the series opener test by 227 runs while the hosts bounced back to win the second test in Chennai by 317 runs. The remaining two test matches will now be held at the Motera Stadium which will start from February 24 & March 4th respectively.
