RCB was in their best possible form in the IPL in 2016 when they reached the finals of the tournament & were beaten by SunRisers Hyderabad.
Captain Kohli was at his very best during 2016 IPL season scoring four centuries & he had ample support from AB De Villiers & Chris Gayle who were very terrific in form at that time. However since 2016 the team have struggled hard but not being able to reach the playoffs in the next three season. However Kohli feels that things will be different this time.
The India & the RCB Captain said that he feels that the squad this year is most balanced since 2016 & that they are very excited for the IPL to begin.
“It’s an exciting time,” Kohli said in an interview shared by RCB on Twitter.
“To be honest, that 2016 season – which we all loved to be a part of and was such a memorable season – since then, to be honest, this is the most balanced I have felt about the squad and as a system, where we are heading,” Kohli said.
“I think it’s been very well taken care of and now it is just up to us to execute those things on the field,” Kohli said.
RCB will play their first match of the IPL tournament against their opponents in the 2016 finals, SunRisers Hyderabad on September 21.
