Virat Kohli & the Indian team are sweating out at nets ahead of the 2nd test match against England which will begin from 13th February at MA Chidambaram stadium in Chennai.

The Indian team is looking forward to right all the wrongs when they will face England in the second test in Chennai which will start on Saturday. England outclassed India in the Opening test of the four match test series by defeating them with 227 runs. The hosts were hoping to win the first test but faced a tough competition by Joe Root & his team who displayed one of the finest performances in the sub-continent for a touring English Party. On Friday the Indian Captain shared a couple of pictures from the training session on his social media handle.

Virat Kohli who had missed three tests in Australia made a comeback in the Opening test but failed to perform well in the first innings as he was dismissed early by Dom Bess for just 11 runs. India conceded a huge 241 runs lead as the batsmen failed to match the run rate of double centurion Joe Root & his teammates.

England bowled India out for 337 runs & were bowled out for 178 runs in their second innings but still visitors managed to set a huge target of 420 runs to win. Hosts in their chase of target lost Rohit Sharma before the end of play on Day 4. Shubman Gill scored a half century on Day 5 but bowled out soon after smashing a fine fifty. James Anderson’s stunning stint of reverse swing bowling left India’s chase in tatters.

Virat Kohli led the chase & fought a lone battle as wickets fall around him. The India Captain hit a classy 72 runs before getting out by Ben Stokes delivery. India’s lower batting order that had done more than its share of wagging in Australia, couldn’t reproduce those heroics on their home ground & India got bowled for 192 runs as England took a 1-0 series lead.

The second test match between India & England will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium and India will be looking forward to level the series by winning second test match.
