Virat Kohli took to social media on Thursday to share few pictures from his training session ahead of the T20I series against England, which will start from Friday.
In the pictures, Kohli can be seen doing fielding drills, warming up by playing football & batting in the nets. “New week, new format, same mission. Let’s get it,” Kohli tweeted along with an Indian flag emoji. Virat Kohli also posted a video of himself practicing some big shots in net sessions as he prepares himself for the T20I format of cricket. Virat Kohli could not perform excellently with the bat in the recently concluded test series against England. In the four match test series, the India Captain scored just 172 runs from six innings at an average of 28.76.
Virat Kohli will be looking to get back into form in the upcoming five match T20I series. All the five T20Is will be played at the Narendra Modi Stadium which is the World’s Largest Cricket Stadium. In India’s last T20I series, Virat Kohli was the highest run scorer for his team as he scored 134 runs from three matches at a strike rate of 142.55.
The last time India played against England in a T20I match & the star performer of the match was Rohit Sharma who smashed a century but Kohli’s quick-fire 43 runs off 29 balls was also crucial in India chasing 199 runs with eight balls in spare.
