The Captain of the RCB team, Virat Kohli has a pep talk with his teammates ahead of the tournament opener match against Mumbai Indians.

RCB share a video on Twitter in which Virat Kohli is seen giving a rallying cry to his teammates. He also encouraged the new teammates to do well in the IPL 2021. “I am backing you, the management is backing you, players who have been selected, we believe they are going to contribute to the culture that RCB has and do the plans we want to execute on the field. If we all believe together, we can do some really special things this season,” Kohli said. 

The Captain of the RCB team Virat Kohli, further said that he wants the whole RCB team to bring intensity in their practice sessions or during their game drills.

“The only thing which I expect from my team is to make the best of the time you get. Whether it is a practice session or game drills. I expect you guys to play with full intensity. That’s the way we have been playing & that won’t change”, Kohli added.

RCB reached the playoffs in the IPL 2020 but couldn’t qualify for the finals. But now Kohli feels that RCB is stronger than before with the inclusion of new players in the lineup. RCB bought Kyle Jamieson, Glenn Maxwell and Daniel Christian among eight new recruits. 

“Last year was a great step in the right direction for the team & I feel that our squad is even stronger this year. I expect good things to happen again,” he concluded. 

Earlier on Wednesday, Daniel Sams of the RCB squad had tested positive for COVID-19. The franchise confirmed the news with a Press Release. Royal Challengers Bangalore will start their campaign against Mumbai Indians in the tournament opener match on April 9 in Chennai
