Indian team captain Virat Kohli and Ishant Sharma praised the outstanding selfless service of Delhi Police during lockdown to fight against COVID-19 Pandemic.
“It is heartening for me to see how Police are helping so many people in these difficult times. They are not only performing their duties but also delivering food to the poor people in these times”, said Virat Kohli.
Virat Kohli and Ishant Sharma are applauding Delhi Police for the outstanding service they are doing during the lockdown to help the people in the national capital of India. In the video shared by the Delhi Police on Twitter, the police pair is appealing the people to stay at home and follow the directives of the officials to combat COVID-19.
“It is overwhelming for me to know that the police service across the nation is helping so many people in these tough times”, said Kohli. “I want to acknowledge and praise the efforts and service of Delhi Police who have not only performed their duties with honesty but also taken food to poor people on daily basis, which the need of the hour. So well done and keep putting in the same effort”.
Ishant Sharma tweeted, “This is the time when we should stay at home to spend time with your loved ones and take care of yourself and your family. Delhi Police are performing their duties day and night without fail. Salute to them”, said Ishant. Let’s come together and help Delhi Police in this fight by staying at our homes. And don’t believe in rumors. We will fight and win this fight against COVID-19. Jai Hind”.

India has taken the stringent step of lockdown to fight against COVID-19 and currently is under a three-week lockdown which is scheduled to end on 14th April but the discussion is going on whether this lockdown will be continued looking on the number of rising cases in India.
