India’s captain Virat Kohli is considered as one of the fittest cricketers in World Cricket, recently shared few pictures of his intense workout session on Friday.
Ahead of the Pink Ball Test against England the Indian Captain has stepped up his preparations & was seen sweating it out in the gym. Kohli is a fitness icon for many people across the globe revealed what keeps him going from strength to strength. “Consistency is the key,” Kohli wrote, while sharing the pictures.
Virat Kohli scored a brilliant half-century in India’s second innings during the second test as the hosts registered a spectacular 317 runs win in Chennai. The victory ensured India to play into the day & night test at the Sardar Patel Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad with four match test series level at 1-1. India have played two day & night test matches so far one at home & one overseas. While they managed to beat Bangladesh in their maiden pink ball test in 2019, they suffered a defeat in their first overseas day & night test in Adelaide against Australia & lost the match by eight wickets.
With the both teams fighting for securing a place in the WTC finals the remaining two matches becomes all the more important & neither of the two teams can afford to face defeat. The hosts can’t afford to lose any more tests if they want to secure a spot in the WTC final match against New Zealand to be played at the Lord’s Stadium in June later this year.
The third test match between India & England will be played from February 24 to February 28 at the world’s largest cricket stadium with a capacity of 1,10,000.
