Team India Wicket-keeper batsman Wriddhiman Saha was seen batting in the nets in Australia as a part of the Test team for the four match test series which will start from December 17.
Saha’s practice session was captured in a video posted by the Official Instagram handle of the BCCI. The cricketer was seen playing few big strokes without any discomfort, also several questions were raised over his fitness due to his hamstring concerns. “Hey @wriddhi so good to have you back in the nets! Stronger everyday #TeamIndia,” read the caption on the video posted.
Saha suffered from a hamstring tear which ruled him out of action for the last matches of the recently ended IPL 2020. The batsman was in good form for the SRH team having replaced Jonny Bairstow at the top of the order. His most impressive knock was scored in a league match against DC where Saha produced a class show by scoring 87 runs off 45 balls. However a hamstring tear soon got the cricketer out of the playoffs which proved costly for the SRH team.
Saha will be seen back in action in the Australia tour which will start with a three match ODI series followed by the same number of T20I matches before being concluded with a four-match Test series. Team India is currently in Sydney since they arrived in Australia on November 12. Both the limited over series squad & Test match squad have been training together. The first Test is scheduled to be a day-night affair and played with a pink ball.
