Yuvraj Singh hilariously Trolls Nasser Hussain, Read More to know Why?

The NatWest Trophy final is written in golden words in the history of World Cricket. Today, on the 18th year anniversary of India’s historic win over England in the 2002 NatWest Trophy Final, former Indian batsman Yuvraj Singh took to Twitter to remember the match & also took a hilarious dig at former England skipper Nasser Hussain.

However, he didn’t leave the opportunity of sending a friendly reminder to then Captain of the England team Nasser Hussain about India’s historic win. “#Throwback to Natwest 2002 Final. Jaan Laga di the sab ne mil ke! We were young and we wanted to win. It was a wonderful team effort that helped us beat England and clinch the trophy in this nail-biting game,” Yuvraj wrote, before tagging Hussain and adding “just in case you forgot.”

The former England captain responded to Yuvraj by saying, “Some lovely photos mate .. thanks for sharing,” with a wink emoji. Nasser Hussain scored a very much needed century in that match helping England to put forward a whopping target of 325 at Lord’s.

After a rampant start by Sourav & Sehwag, India lost wickets in a cluster as both the partners crashed at 146-5. With all their well-known batsmen back sent back to the pavilion & a young & not so experienced players Yuvraj Singh & Mohammad Kaif at the crease it looked like the game is of England but the duo put an epic 121 run stand that helped India to hail an impossible victory.

As the winning runs were scored & India was hailed as victorious, one of the most iconic scenes in cricket history followed as Sourav Ganguly took off his jersey & waved it over his head as a celebration on the Lord’s balcony.

Kaif who was adjudged as the Man of the Match in the game also tweeted about the occasion. “July 13, 2002: The day we climbed Mt Everest at Lord’s…Dada shirtless, Yuvi nerveless, Zak’s support priceless, Me fearless…memories endless,” he wrote. Harbhajan Singh also tweeted about the game while the BCCI in India shared a video of the match.
