India’s ‘Hitman’ Yuvraj Singh has turned back the clock in the Semi-Final of the Road Safety World Series by smashing 49 runs off just 20 balls against West Indies Legends on Wednesday.
Yuvraj’s quick-fire knock comprised of 1 four & 6 sixes as he smashed the West Indies bowling attack after Captain Sachin Tendulkar scored 65 runs off 42 balls in the death overs. Yuvraj Singh hit Mahendra Nagamootoo for four sixes in just five balls in the 19th over & at one point of time it seemed like Yuvraj is going to repeat his feat of six sixes in an over that he had hit off Stuart Broad delivery in 2007 T20 World Cup for India.

Yuvraj’s ‘sixes stint’ didn’t stopped here as he further hit to more sixes off Suleiman Benn in the final over as India Legends put on a total of 218 for 3, the highest score scored by any team in the tournament so far. Earlier Opening batsman Virender Sehwag was at his best form as he smashed 35 runs off 17 balls in an innings which comprised of five fours & one six.
Virender Sehwag & Sachin Tendulkar scored 56 runs within the Power play & even though Mohammed Kaif was restricted to 27 runs off 21 balls, Yusuf Pathan & Yuvraj Singh together gave India a decent total. Yuvraj came into the Semi-final in good form as he has already hit 52 runs off 22 balls in the previous clash against South Africa Legends.
Yuvraj hit two fours & six sixes in the innings against South Africa & carried his brilliant form ahead in the crucial Semi-final against West Indies Legends. India Legends have made their way to the finals of Road Safety World Series whereas Sri Lanka Legends will play South Africa Legends in the second semi-final on March 19 in Raipur.
