Ravichandran Ashwin recently took a hilarious dig at Aussie’s star batsman David Warner on TikTok Ban & now clarified that any teasing at David Warner was all in good humor nothing so serious.
Recently the Indian Government took an epic decision of blocking 59 Chinese apps that also includes extremely popular video sharing app, TikTok. Ravichandran Ashwin teased Aussie’s opener batsman David Warner who is quite popular on TikTok for the same. Retweeting a news piece announcing the ban of TikTok & other Chinese apps, Ashwin tagged Warner in his post & wrote, Appo Anwar?”, a famous dialogue from the 1995 Rajinikanth movie ‘Baashha’, which translates to “what are you going to do now?”
However, later Ashwin clarified for his tweet by responding to other Twitter users that it was light-hearted banter & his respect for the Australian batsman “is still intact”. However, Ashwin’s clarification was not enough for most of the Twitter users & responding to Ashwin’s tweet one user wrote, “You were not raised properly”.
The move to ban the Chinese apps came amid the tension between China & India after the June 15 clashes at Ladakh in which 20 Indian Soldiers died in action & more than 70 were injured.
During the coronavirus enforced lockdown, Warner became a hit on TikTok after uploading funky videos on a daily basis. Many of his videos were full of Indian songs & dialogues be it Warner dancing to Bollywood songs or lip-syncing dialogues from the superhit movie ‘Bahubali’.
