Rishabh Pant hospitalized after surviving a tragic Car Accident

Ace Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant has been hospitalized after surviving a life-threatening car accident in the wee hours of Friday in the Haridwar district of Uttarakhand state. Pant was traveling to his hometown of Roorkee and met with a tragic accident between Manglaur and Narsan on National Highway 58.

Pant was traveling alone in his Mercedes car and hit the railing divider on the Delhi-Dehradun Highway. His car caught fire and was burnt into ashes. However, Pant managed to escape the ghastly situation by sustaining multiple injuries. He was immediately taken to the AIIMS Hospital in Roorkee for primary treatment and then shifted to Max Hospital in Dehradun.

According to the reports of local police, Pant sustained injuries on his forehead and knees. He also got severe burns on his back as the fire deteriorated but was soon brought to control. It is also believed that Pant might have sustained a fracture on his leg and is being moved through a stretcher.

The medical team at Max Hospital led by Dr. Ashish Yagnik addresses the media and stated that Pant’s health is currently stable and he is now under observation. He is out of danger and a detailed medical bulletin will be announced as soon as all the X-Rays and Tests are completed.

Cricket Fraternity wishes for Rishabh Pant’s Speedy Recovery

The cricketing fraternity along with Rishabh’s fans took to social media and prayed for the speedy recovery of their favorite explosive cricketer. BCCI Secretary Jay Shah and former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman were amongst the senior members who publicly portrayed their wishes and support for Pant’s recovery.

Rishabh Pant was recently seen in action during India’s victorious stint in the two-match test series against Bangladesh. Pant smashed an iconic match-winning knock of 93 runs in the second test to take his side through a victory and record yet another clinical series whitewash.

Pant was dropped from the white-ball series against Sri Lanka and was asked to report to National Cricket Academy in Bangalore for strength and reconditioning work ahead of his inclusion in India’s frontline squad for the crucial test series against Australia starting on February 9.

With Pant sustaining tremendous injuries, it is likely that he will miss the Australian series and will remain unavailable for the Indian Premier League. We wish for his speedy recovery and hope to see him in action and bleed blue on the field.
