Ace Indian wicketkeeper Rishabh Pant survived a tragic car accident on the Delhi-Dehradun Highway this morning. Pant was driving the car that crashed into the divider after which his Mercedes hatchback caught fire and he luckily escaped by breaking the window.
Rishabh Pant was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for primary treatment and was later shifted to Max Hospital in Dehradun where he is currently undergoing treatment. Though the doctors confirmed that Pant is out of danger and has no fatal injuries, Pant underwent a couple of plastic surgeries on the ghastly wounds on his face and back.
Notably, the doctors team at Max Hospital informed the media that they will carry out MRI Tests for Pant’s knee and ankle injuries. Preliminary investigation suggests that Pant has sustained a ligament tear on his right knee but in a sigh of relief for Rishabh, he did not sustain any fractures. Pant also did not get any burns on his body though his car caught fire immediately after the crash.

Rishabh Pant was on the way to his hometown to surprise his mother and spend some quality time on account of new year’s eve. However, he met with a brutal accident on his way down and survived a life-threatening incident. According to the local police, Pant lost control of his vehicle as he dozed off while driving.
Meanwhile, the Board of Cricket Control of India (BCCI) is in continuous contact with the hospital authorities to ensure the proper treatment of Pant. BCCI also contacted Pant’s family and ensured complete support from their end. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also called upon the hospital and asserted them to provide the best and expedited treatment for Pant.
Fans have also come out publicly to wish for Pant’s speedy recovery. They are anticipating seeing the explosive young man on the field soon. Though Pant’s injuries will take time to heal, the local police confirmed that surviving such a critical accident was very difficult and Rishabh’s escape is truly lucky.
