There is good news for all the cricket fans across the globe. WTC Final is going into the Reserve Day today and according to the weather updates by Pundit Dinesh Karthik, there shouldn’t be any rain interruption in today’s game, as the sky is expected to stay clear throughout the day at the Ageas Bowl in Southampton.
Taking to Twitter weatherman Dinesh Karthik wrote, “We are clear for the FINAL Day! This has been the best weather so far I have been here. Final assignment for Weatherman DK #WTCFinal #WTC21Final”. Earlier the first & the fourth day of the WTC Final were completely washed off due to rain while early stumps were called off on the 2nd day due to bad light.
The former England Captain Kevin Pietersen had also highlighted the major complications faced by the organizers, teams & the audiences when mega-events get interrupted due to bad weather. Tweeting his displeasure with the rain interruptions in the ongoing WTC Final, Kevin tweeted, “It pains me to say it, but a ONE-OFF & incredibly important cricket game should not be played in the UK”.
While the spirits & action have been top-class on the pitch, there was some disapproved behavior witnessed from a section of the crowd in the stands on Day 5 of the ongoing final. It has been reported that the fans were said to have used racial abuse at the New Zealand players. That has resulted in the fans being removed from the stands.
Shedding some light on the ongoing final, the game could witness a thrilling end with Virat Kohli & Cheteshwar Pujara present on the crease to lead the innings for India on the final day. India currently enjoys a lead of 32 runs with eight wickets still in their hands.
