Yuzvendra Chahal called Chris Gayle as “uncle” after the West Indies batsman Chris Gayle tried to troll the leg-spinner on Instagram.
Chahal on Friday took to Instagram to post a video of him bowling an impressive knock over New Zealand batsman Martin Guptill’s off stump. West Indies batsman Chris Gayle took a hilarious dig on Chahal & left a comment on his post & said that the leg-spinner has overstepped. “You overstepped the line, No ball!! Umpire,” Gayle commented. Chahal who has played along with Chris Gayle as teammates in the RCB franchise in Indian Premier League cheekily replied to Gayle’s comment, “haha uncle still last night effect?” Chahal replied.
Chahal also shared a small glimpse of the great friendship he shares with left-arm spinner Kuldeep Yadav. Kuldeep praised Chahal & said, “Well bowled sirji”. In reply to Kuldeep’s comment, Chahal replied, “trying to bowl like you my Lil brother”.
During this forced break, Chahal has been quite active on social media just like other cricketers. Recently Chahal was live with Afghanistan Spinner Rashid Khan & both the players picked a combined India Afghanistan XI.
Recently Chahal posted a photo of himself & India Opener Rohit Sharma took a hilarious dig on his friend cum teammate. Kapde ke andar tu hai ya kapda tere andar hai (Are you inside the clothes or are the clothes inside you),” Rohit asked Chahal.
Yuzvendra Chahal would have been a part of the RCB franchise in the 13th edition of the IPL but due to the coronavirus pandemic, the BCCI postponed the tournament indefinitely. However it is speculated that the IPL 2020 will be commenced in the September-October window after analyzing & monitoring the current pandemic situation in the country. On Friday, as per the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India recorded 297,535 cases and 8,498 deaths due to COVID-19 pandemic.
